Infrastructure
The last fifteen years have seen a frenzy of building infrastructure developments in Greece. Major highways have been constructed that connect Athens with Thessaloniki to the north and Tripolis on the south. The Engatia Motorway, which crosses Greece from its westernmost edge (Igoumenitsa) to its easternmost borders (Kipoi , Evros), is a modern 670 kilometres motorway of international standards equipped with devices and safety systems that aim at protecting and helping the motorists travelling on the axis.
The Attika Road was recently awarded the 1st Prize for Road Safety by the International Road Federation, in recognition of the quality road safety services provided to the Attiki Odos users. Many other Greek traffic systems win international prizes.
Greece has built a new Country for the 21st Century. Greece blooms with new and bold projects from one corner to the other: Harbours, Airports, Motorways, Subways, Railroads. The quality of these constructions are of the highest international standards.
